About Us
Chelsea

For as long as she can recall Chelsea has been captivated by the ‘behind the scenes' of any event, finding it near impossible to be a guest without thinking of the steps taken to bring the pieces together. Chelsea's passion for event planning was sparked while working a full-time Summer position in College as the Orientation Coordinator preparing for the incoming Freshman class.
After college Chelesa took a position at The Mountain Top Resort where at that time, the resort was only hosting 20 or so weddings a season. Over those first few years through trial and error the small wedding team built a highly sought-after location for destination weddings, running like a well-oiled machine. Being instrumental at the Resort both planning and executing weddings for 18 years Chelsea learned how to problem solve anything that came her way, resulting in a great work ethic with a hands on approach. Chelsea’s greatest strength is the level of calm she brings to any event, always hoping to hear “that was flawless, my day was perfect” even when behind the scenes didn’t have that same feel, if a hiccup were to arise the client would never know.
After a couple of seasons that were a little less fun to navigate (Thank you COVID) Chelsea and Cassie enjoying a girls night out dared to envision what sort of business they could create on their own (friend time all the time), knowing their vast experience would carry them far - Wild Fern Boutique was born.
On an off day Chelsea enjoys taking long walks in her quaint Vermont neighborhood catching up with good friends or time spent at the baseball field, the family’s favorite sport.
Cassie

After completing an eye-opening Women’s Small Business program for adult education in 2020, Cassie founded the original concept ‘Wild Fern Vintage’ in the Spring of 2021. The business was launched on the shoulders of her very favorite underpaid employee, her husband. Together they sought the inventory through weekly 'antique hunting' trips across the state and built things from the ground up. The idea was to offer specialty and boutique furniture rentals and event design services. Cassie’s fulltime job was working, alongside her partner and dear friend Chelsea Howe (Hello buisnessmate!), as a wedding planner at high-volume venue in Vermont. Seeing the trend for ‘lounge areas’ and consistent requests from her wedding clients for vendors that provide such rentals, she would often come up short for suggestions other than those traveling from the ‘big cities’ (aka HUGE travel fees) thus Wild Fern Vintage was born.
The company started out as a ‘passion project’ with no real pressure to succeed, more of an outlet for Cassie to dive into her creative side and provide a more fulfilling lifestyle. However, things got going and they didn’t stop! The demand was there and the business was an great success in it’s first year. Fast forward to 2022, Chelsea and Cassie, having worked closely together planning weddings for 5 years, decided to take a huge leap of faith and expand on Wild Fern Vintage by offering a full spectrum of wedding planning services alongside the rental business - and here you are, welcome to Wild Fern Boutique!!
Cassie is driven by the need to please. She has both the experience and skillset to walk you through the entire wedding planning process to ensure that you don’t miss a beat and more importantly, that you enjoy yourself through every step of the way. Because that’s what it’s all about - joy & love.
When she’s not living and breathing weddings and nerding out over designing beautiful lounge spaces, you can find her hiking, obsessing over her dog (Pepper!), cooking for her loved ones, taking care of her houseplants (aka the house jungle) or simply enjoying a glass (or two!) of her favorite Pinot Noir and a good book.
